Dear Dragon Families,
Welcome back to another exciting school year! I hope this letter finds you and your family rejuvenated and ready for an extraordinary year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences. As the superintendent, I am thrilled to travel on this journey alongside you and your child.
Our dedicated team of educators has done tremendous work over the summer to prepare for your child's return. We have been reviewing our curriculum, enhancing our instructional strategies, and creating a safe and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience that focuses on the development of each child. Our goal is not only to foster academic excellence but also to nurture their overall well-being. We believe that when students feel supported emotionally, they are better equipped to reach their full potential academically.
To achieve this vision, we will continue implementing innovative teaching practices and programs that engage students meaningfully. Our teachers will create dynamic classrooms where critical thinking skills are honed, creativity is celebrated, and collaboration is encouraged. We want our students to be active participants in their own learning journey.
Furthermore, we recognize the importance of open communication between home and school. We encourage you as parents/guardians to actively engage with us throughout the year by attending parent-teacher conferences, school events, and staying connected through our various communication channels, such as social media platforms. We value your partnership in ensuring your child's success.
I want to express my gratitude for entrusting us with your child's education. Your support is vital in creating an atmosphere conducive to growth and achievement. I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Together, we can make this school year a remarkable one for our students.

School begins August 10th! Reminder, all students must have a confirmed enrollment for school.
If you missed Enrollment Confirmation 23-24, please contact the secretary at your child's school to schedule a time to confirm enrollment. School offices are open Monday, July 31st - Thursday, August 3rd from 8:30 am - 11:30 am & 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Please call 405-442-0099 and select the extension for your child's school.

Today is the last day for enrollment confirmation for all returning and new students at Purcell High School. We will be open until 3:00pm. After today, you will need to contact the secretary at your child's school in order to confirm enrollment. Offices are open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. McClain County Health Dept will be at the High School on Monday, July, 24th from 10am - 2pm to administer shots for those needing immunizations. Parents must be present.

Summer Feeding will be closed on July 3rd and July 4th. We will resume normal feeding on July 5th at Purcell Elementary for breakfast and lunch. Southway Mobile Home Park delivery will be on Wednesday, July 5th and will resume normal delivery schedule on July 11th.
You could qualify for a bonus from OSDE to become a teacher at Purcell PS! Please see information attached. Deadline is May 31st.

We could not let the week pass without celebrating our Purcell Police Department for National Police Week 2023. They have supported our District in so many ways from safety to helping students and staff. We appreciate all that they do for our schools and community!!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Purcell Public Schools is pleased to provide our students and community with a Summer Feeding Program again this year. This program is open to children ages 0-18 years of age. You do not have to be a Purcell PS student to take advantage of this program.
Summer Feeding will begin on Tuesday, May 22nd and continue through July 28th. Meals this year must be consumed on site at Purcell Elementary through July and at Purcell High School through June 22nd except for those delivered to Southway Mobile Home Park.
We will also provide an option for meal delivery at Southway Mobile Home Park located at 3 Elliot Drive Purcell, OK each Tuesday (May 23 & 30, June 6,13, 20, &27 and July 5 (Wednesday), 11, 18, & 25 from 10:30 am-11:30 am. Anyone is welcome to pick up meals, you do not have to be a resident of Southway. These meals will be packaged for
five (5) days worth of breakfasts and lunches.

Breakfast: 7:30 A.M.-9:30 A.M.
Lunch: 11:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M.

Students who are attending Summer School will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch at the schools and will not be eligible for meal pickup at Southway while Summer School is in session (June 5th- 22nd). I strongly encourage families to take advantage of the Summer Feeding Program. It is great for our students and community as a way to fight
childhood hunger. It also benefits the schools. Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity!


We finished our Pickleball Unit in PE with a little friendly competition! These students were named Pickleball Champs in their home rooms. Way to go, Dragons! 🏆🏓🥇🎉🐉

This morning during our Dragon assembly, we recognized two outstanding fifth graders! Brynlee Maxwell Shephard and Blane Nicklas were named Student of the Year 2022-2023 for their outstanding academic excellence, character, leadership, and citizenship! 🐉🥳Congratulations Brynlee & Blane!!! #dragonpride


Our Senior Dragons walked the halls of Purcell Intermediate one last time before graduation! We wish you all the best, Seniors!!! ❤️🐉🎉📚✏️
