The March Madness Step Challenge Winners attended the Heart of Oklahoma baseball tournament today! They got to see the Dragons defeat the Wayne Bulldogs 8-0! Thank you to our booster club for providing snacks and drinks to our kiddos! The winners included Mrs. Larman’s 5th grade class, Mrs. Estrada’s 4th grade class, and Ms. Greenlee’s 3rd grade class.
Congratulations to Mrs. Larman’s fifth grade mathematicians!!! These students showed the MOST growth on the MAPS MATH test.

Last week we kicked off our March Madness Step Challenge! Students track their steps using pedometers provided by Healthy Schools Oklahoma. Each day, we calculate the average steps for their homeroom class, and we will keep a running total throughout the month of March! In PE, one of our focuses is on nutrition and making healthy choices. A couple of weeks ago we received our tower garden from HSOK! We planted our seeds, learned how to maintain it, and now we’re observing the growth of arugula, lettuce, and kale. The students are excited about growing our own food in the gym! Pucell Public Schools will be closed Friday, February 25th due to slick conditions caused by the inclement weather. If there are any changes to the playoff basketball schedule or state wrestling schedule, we will communicate it as soon as we know.
Our third graders performed “Awesome Animals” on Tuesday, and they did a fantastic job! Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students! The costumes were amazing, and we want to give a special shoutout to Lauren Melvin and Dana Ferguson for making extras!
