Dear Parents and Guardians of Purcell Public School Students, As we come to the end of another great school year, I am proud to reflect back on all the wonderful events and activities that have happened throughout the 2022-2023 school year. From our capital improvement projects such as new and repaired roofs, carpeting, new cafeteria flooring, painting, upgraded sound systems, and additional playground equipment, to successful program additions like our Outdoor Class that brought archery to our campuses, choir and the addition of Technology Student Association at the high school, it has been a year of growth and improvement for our schools. We are excited to look forward to the future, with new curricular materials being added to our classrooms, an Aviation Program, Soccer, and the addition of a full-time secondary Media Specialist. These enhancements will greatly benefit our students in achieving academic success and personal growth. Throughout this year, we have seen our students thrive in various settings, from in-classroom instruction to extracurricular activities and community involvement. It is through our commitment to excellence and dedication to the student experience that we were able to achieve so much success this year. I view it as an honor to serve this community and your children, and I am grateful for your continued support of our district. We truly appreciate the trust you have placed in us to provide an optimal educational experience for your children. Enjoy your summer with your families, and we look forward to welcoming the students back for another great year in the Fall. Sincerely, Dr. Sheli McAdoo Superintendent Purcell Public School.

Dear Dragon Parents and Guardians, I am pleased to announce that the Purcell Board of Education has approved the school calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. This year's calendar includes some exciting changes that we believe will benefit both our students and our staff. One noteworthy change is the addition of asynchronous virtual days for students throughout the school year. These virtual days will allow our teachers time to collaborate around student learning, improve their instructional practices, and provide our students an opportunity to become familiar with asynchronous instruction on district provided devices. Not only do virtual days provide benefits for our staff and students, but they also offer parents a great opportunity to schedule doctor or dental appointments without worrying about their children missing in-person instruction. Please note that there are currently four (4) days scheduled for virtual instruction, including October 13th, December 1st, February 2nd, and April 5th. It is important to note that students' attendance will be counted based on completion of the assigned work provided by their teachers on these particular days. We want to ensure that your children continue to receive the best possible education while accommodating changes that help us all in different ways. We greatly appreciate your continued support and understanding as we strive to provide the best educational experience possible for your children. More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to the start of the new school year, but we wanted to make you aware of these changes now for early planning and scheduling purposes. You can find the new calendar on our website at www.purcellps.org Thank you for your cooperation and partnership in this journey. Sincerely, Dr. Sheli McAdoo Superintendent

Purcell Public Schools Announces Addition of Soccer for 9th-12th Grade in 2023-2024 School Year Purcell, OK – Purcell Public Schools is excited to announce the addition of soccer for 9th-12th grade students starting in the 2023-2024 school year. This will be the inaugural year for the sport at Purcell Public Schools, and we are eager to introduce the program to our students and community. As Superintendent of Purcell Public Schools, I am thrilled to introduce this new opportunity for our students. Soccer is a beloved sport worldwide, and we believe it will be a great addition to our athletics program here at Purcell Public Schools. We are committed to providing diverse opportunities for our students to grow, learn, and excel both academically and athletically. Our goal is to prepare them for success in their future endeavors, and the addition of soccer is one more step in that direction. I am grateful to the Purcell Public Schools Board of Education and administration for their leadership and vision in supporting this new initiative. I also extend my sincere appreciation to our coaches and staff who have worked tirelessly to make this happen.
