Very windy day at the Purcell Track Meet today, but all of our kids competed well, with a lot of medals staying home. Great job to all of our coaches and athletes for a very well ran track meet.
Kamdyn Stokes broke the Purcell shot put record on Friday at the Pauls Valley Meet, and turned around and beat her record today. The new record is 39'7" Congratulations Kamdyn!


Due to the possibility of severe weather this evening, all after-school activities are canceled for Purcell Public Schools.


Purcell's JOM program will host a meeting on April 2, 2025, to organize student awards and graduation gifts. The meeting will be held in the Admin Building at 5:30 pm in Room 110. This meeting is open to the public.

Tomorrow is day one of the basketball area tournament. There has been a location change due to the recent weather. The entire area tournament will be played at Chickasha High School. The location of the games is the ONLY change to the bracket. All times have stayed the same.
Please reference the parking map for Chickasha High School. All spectator parking is in the purple parking lot. Live stream is available tomorrow. Scan the attached QR code. Also, this is a reminder that the expectation is all attending fans keep their actions positive throughout the entire course of the game. Let's cheer on our Lady Dragons to victory!





Triple header of games to start the soccer season today at Conger. First, the JV Boys will take on Cristo Rey at 3:30. Varsity girls will also play Cristo Rey, starting at 5pm. Final game of the night will be our varsity boys taking on Tuttle at 7pm. Our soccer athletes have been working really hard this offseason, and would love for you to show your support as they open up their season. Go Dragons!

Boys basketball gameday at Douglass. Boys take on Chickasha at 2:30. Good luck to our boys as they try to advance to the final day of the regional tournament. Go Dragons!


Great day for Dragons Basketball. We go into the McLoud for day 1 of regionals, and leave 2-0!
Boys started the day facing off with McLoud and winning a very tight game, 56-53. The Dragons will continue with the second day of regionals tomorrow at Douglass High School. Tomorrow's game will tip off at 2:30. Huge congratulations to Coach Lohn, Coach Wollenberg, and our boys basketball team for the big win today. Make sure to make the trip to Douglass tomorrow to cheer our boys on!
Girls played a physical game with McLoud and pulled away to win 60-51. The girls will play in the regional championship on Saturday. That game will be played at Douglass High School at 6pm. Congratulations to Coach Cooper, Coach Clay, and our girls basketball team for the win tonight. Come out Saturday to cheer our girls on as they compete for a regional championship.

Basketball Gameday tonight at Ada High School. Both teams will be taking on the Cougars for the District Championship. Girls game starts at 6 and boys following at 7:30. Make the trip to Ada as our teams start the playoffs tonight. Please see attached bag guidelines at Ada. All fans will go through Ada's Open Gate system and all items are subject to search.

There were some changes to the Noble Soccer Scrimmage Festival due to the recent weather. Purcell is now hosting the first four games of the festival, including our girls and boys first scrimmages of the year. Girls will play at 11:20 am at Purcell and again at 2:40 pm in Noble. Boys will play at 12:10 pm at Purcell and at 3:30 pm in Noble. Come out tomorrow and watch our soccer teams prepare for the second season in PHS history.




Purcell Public Schools will be back in session tomorrow, Friday, February 20th. The temperatures will still be very, very cold in the morning, so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately. We look forward to seeing all of our Dragons back at school!


Due to the extreme cold weather and forecasted windchills reaching -10 degress, Purcell Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 20th.
