Congratulation! Lynn Bayless - October PHS Staff Member of the Month
Here is a tribute from one of her colleagues:
Ms. Bayless is a dedicated teacher who has created a culture of high standards in her classroom. She teaches a wide variety of student abilities, but all her students show growth. She has excellent classroom management. She teaches multiple subjects as well as night school. She exemplifies flexibility in being willing to change teaching practices. She also is a mentor to students after school hours by employing them at the ballpark. She always has a big smile and something nice to say.
You did it! You made it through your first week of Walktober! We are so proud of each and every participant! To make sure every step counts for our school, do not forget to submit your week 1 steps to your profile on the Walktober website. If you have questions on how to submit your activity, please email Purcell's HealthCorps Program Coordinator, Danielle Romero at romerod@purcellps.org. Let's keep crushing our personal wellness goals as we step into Week 2! If you haven't joined the Purcell team yet, it is not too late!
The Dragons recorded their historic 700th win in school history by defeating Crooked Oak 56-7 and moving to 5-2 on the season. Congratulations Coach Tracy Scott and staff and to all players. A special thanks to Coach Wilson for returning to help mark this special milestone.

The Challenge Has Begun! WALKTOBER 2021
Pink Out Little League night Thursday, October 14th.
Ms. Matthews leadership class chose the Purcell Animal Shelter as a local Passion Project to donate items to. Ms. Louise was so gracious to show us around, let us pet the animals, and talk to us about the importance of being an advocate for animals. If you are ever able to donate items they always need Clorox, Clorox wipes, laundry soap, clumping litter, Dawn dish soap, dog/cat toys, fancy feast wet food, and paper towels.
Get healthy and fit! Sign-up for Walktober
