Tomorrow is Halloween Costume Day and our theme is Book Characters. Our main focus is to keep this with with light and friendly costumes with no fright. We can't wait to have fun with students and see what they choose.
Please remember that costumes need to be kept at a minimum to ensure that students can remove them easily for bathroom trips, recess, and PE. Sending a change of clothes in their backpack is a good idea because students often tire of wearing their costume all day. Thank you for helping us keep costumes to happy and friendly selections without blood, gore, or fright. Our focus at the elementary is the Book Characters.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Drug-Free week in a sweet, fun way!

PES September Staff & Teacher of the Month: Special Education Assistant Lisa Webb and Reading Interventionist Kim Thompson.
Read what their colleagues had to say about them:
Lisa Webb
Lisa is a go-getter! She cares so much for the children and not just the ones she's in charge of! She has a smile on her face and a pep in her step!
Lisa goes above and beyond to not only take care of her student but also steps in to help others around her!!
Everytime I see Lisa she has an awesome attitude with a smile on her face. Just seeing her in the hallway by my classroom makes my mornings better, so I know it has to be doing the same for students.
She has a big heart for our students, especially those that need special care. Her hard work and dedication to students and teachers doesn’t go unnoticed.
Kim Thompson
I can always count on Kim to help me with whatever I might need, and she always has an awesome attitude.
All of the hours she spent making the new UFLI stuff for EVERY teacher. Wow I know it was a LOT and she deserves recognition!!
Mrs. Thompson is dependable, hard working, helpful, and always smiling!
Kim is a team player and is always there to help teachers and students. I could not have survived last year without her help in my classroom. Although she isn't my reading helper this year, she still continues to help and check up on me when she can, and I appreciate it very much.
Two very deserving ladies! Congratulations.
