We are excited to announce that our school is participating in the Stars of Honor Student Recognition Program again this year to honor some of our Little Dragons. Students will be celebrated and receive a certificate at the game.
Eight students from each grade level K-2 were selected. These students were selected based on their hard work and dedication in the classroom as well as their commitment to showing excellent DRAGON CARES daily.

This week is Kindness Week, and we are celebrating across the district! At the elementary school we are challenging students to complete random acts of kindness throughout the week, as well as having a daily kindness challenge. Yesterday's challenge was to greet the day with kindness: hold the door open for someone, say hello to people you don't normally talk to and to give out high fives!
Today's kindness challenge is to spread kind vibes. We are challenging students to do something nice for someone, give someone a compliment, or help someone in need.
When students are caught being kind this week, they get their name on a "caught being kind" slip and put in for a small drawing. Today's kindness winners were Gracie Hernandez, Elias Chatham, and Sawyer Creswell. Way to go Dragons! #kindnessmatters #DragonCARES

Pre-K would love your help in our annual drive for P.A.W.S. (Purcell Animal Welfare Society)! As part of our study on pets, we learn how to properly take care of them. We know that our local shelter does an amazing job of caring for many animals in need too! We would love to give back to them so that they can continue to care for those sweet animals. Our donation drive will extend until February 16th! For more information on how you could help, please see the flyer below!

Absolutely, counselors play a crucial role in supporting and guiding individuals. It's wonderful to recognize and appreciate their contributions during National Counselors Week.
National Counseling Week is February 5th-9th and we are celebrating our Counselors as they continue to show us that Students are Our Focus! We have the BEST Counselors!
Please join us in honoring our counselors;
Mrs. Rebecca Franco, Purcell Elementary Counselor,
Mrs. Sara Nichols, District Student Advocate and Counselor,
and Ms. Ami Armstrong, our student intern from OU.
These ladies do such an amazing job serving our students and staff! We appreciate them teaching our students each day! I encourage you to have your child write a note or draw a picture to share with their special Counselor. Thank you for helping us make them feel special!
