We are thrilled to announce that PHS Sophomore Paisley Nichols has been accepted into the YES Oklahoma Program and Sooner Discovery for 2024. Paisley, a Citizen Potawatomi Nation citizen, qualifies as a Rising Junior and is interested in a career in pediatric genetics or genetic research.
YES OK is a NIH National Cancer Institute funded project through OU's Department of Anthropology that offers an 8-week summer STEM experience for Native American high school students interested in healthcare careers. YES OK scholars will live on the OU Norman campus, earn concurrent enrollment credit, and gain hands-on lab experience in state-of-the-art laboratories on the OU Norman campus.
