We are excited about the growth of our PHS Transitions Program. This program focuses on providing ALL students an opportunity to gain the skills & knowledge needed to thrive in their communities after high school. Last year, under the leadership of PHS Special Education Teacher Jenny Allen-Price and PHS Paraprofessional Susan Bennett, our Dragon Brew operation opened for business. This is a student driven operation that was largely funded through a donation from the Purcell Public School Foundation We also partnered with Pride Popcorn to provide students with additional needs an opportunity to intern with a local business.
Our next step is to grow these unique opportunities for our students throughout the community. We want ALL students to have the opportunity to be a part of their community!
If you are interested in partnering with our PHS Transition program please email Jenny Allen-Price: allenj@purcellps.org
Best wishes to all Dragons and their families as the gather to honor and celebrate our freedoms as Americans and those who fought to protect those freedoms.
Happy Independence Day!

Purcell High School & Junior High students excel at the TSA (Technology Student Association) National Conference in Orlando. Paul Wollenberg (JH) and April Trumbo (HS) lead these highly successful programs. We are proud of the hard work and achievements of these students and advisors.
This program develops leadership and career development in science, technology, engineering, and math career opportunities. Our students are learning to lead in an increasingly technical world!

Thank you to all of our coaches and sponsors for their hard work and sacrifice helping train student athletes, host little-kid camps, attend team camps, and more. These summer programs do far more than provide individual skill and team development. They keep kids engaged, active, and physically fit during the summer break. Students involved in school summer activities experience less learning gaps over the summer break.
A special thanks to Cole Harwell, Purcell Sports & Performance Director for his hard work with our athletes throughout the summer.
Sharing a few pics from our various sports camps over the summer.

PHS Senior Haley Kretchmar recently attended the OK Farm Bureau Capitol Camp. Capitol Camp is an immersive two-day legislative experience for incoming high school juniors and seniors to learn about Oklahoma’s legislative process and how bills become law through a mock legislature held on the floor of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
What a great leadership experience. Great job Haley!

PHS Seniors Hudson Andrews and Emma Lynn recently attended the FFA Washington Leadership Conference. The Washington Leadership Conference provides FFA members a premier leadership experience while exposing them to the rich history of Washington, D.C.
We are excited for these opportunities and the continued growth of our student leaders. Student leadership is critical to the culture of a school. Great job Hudson & Emma.
