
Thanks to our multi-talented students for performing the National Anthem during home games. Senior Hailey Carpenter, Sophomore Marlee Spencer (sorry no live pic!) and our talented senior trio of Cooper Hall, Raleigh Savage, and Dalton Holder helped honor our nation this season.




Due to the inclement weather in the forecast this week, we are going to reschedule the bonus auction for March 3rd at the Purcell Ag Building.

CLASS 2A-4A BBALL REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS—GAMES ORIGINALLY
SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY WILL BE PLAYED IN ONE SESSION ON FRIDAY. LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN THE SAME.
GAMES TIMES ARE 4 PM; 5:30 PM; 7 PM AND 8:30 PM.
GAMES ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY WILL BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY—SAME LOCATIONS AND SCHEDULE.

Congratulations to both Lady Dragons and Dragons: District Champs! Lady Dragons defeat Christian Heritage 57-40 and the Dragon Boys beat CHA 61-48. Both teams advance to winners bracket of Regionals next Thursday @ Meeker. Keep it up PHS! Dragon Proud.



ROAD, Rely on a Dragon, week is March 7th -10th at PHS. We will be raising money for this year's charity the Purcell School's Student Needs Fund. We have several students, elementary through high school, that need assistance. We will be donating to food pantries and to any supplies these students need. We are selling ROAD shirts designed by our own Senior, Jordan Ingram. Shirts will be on a purple heather t-shirt. Adult sizes only. Small - XL $15 and 2x-3x $17. Please contact Ms. Matthews or the high school office for orders. Orders are due February 28th. matthewsk@purcellps.org
We are also accepting donations, monetary or any items for our raffle at school to be held on March 10th. Thank you!

Upcoming Purcell FFA Events:
Friday, Feb 18: 10:30 AM- around 2ish will be the McClain County Cattle Show
Saturday, Feb 19: 10:30- around 3ish will be the McClain County Pig Show
Saturday, Feb 19: 7 PM will be our local show where all students will be showing.
All 3 shows this weekend are at the McClain County Expo Center located South of town behind the Chickasaw Buildings.
Thursday, Feb 24: 6 PM is our Bonus Auction where students are recognized for their accomplishments in the local show and businesses provide sponsorships for each student. We have a dinner and time to watch each student show off their project. (This is held in the Ag Building by the HS School)


Lauren Holmes and Lincoln Eubank: PHS Athletes of the Month. Lauren is the daughter of Jennifer and Matt Holmes. Lauren's favorite class is Leadership. Lincoln is the son of Shelly and Mike Eubank. His favorite class is Pre-Engineering @ MATC. We are proud of their success!

Seniors Creed Smith and Brodrick Smith stopped by to chat about the start of a very promising baseball season. Lots of returning talent and some very exciting newcomers! PHS Baseball gets underway today @ home with a 5PM Scrimmage vs. Lone Grove. Go Dragons!


Coty Sessions wrestles tonight @ 4PM @ Noble High School in the West Regional 6A finals. Coty has already qualified for state. We are so proud of Coty and her success and also would like to thank Coach Sarah Jones for making it possible. Tickets available @ door or on OSSAA site.

Congratulations Cooper Lynn for being selected PHS Student of the Month. Cooper is the son of Brent and Amy Lynn. His activities include FFA and Welding @ Career Tech. Honors include Chapter Star Farmer, Discovery, Greenhand, and Chapter Degree. His plans after graduation are to be a professional welder, have a ranch and operate an Angus and Beefmaster cow calf operation. He also plans to tell people about agriculture who don't know where their food comes from. Way to go Cooper!


Congratulations Lady Dragons for a big win over Washington tonight 41-37. They wrap up the regular season 14-8 and 10-4 in conference. The PHS boys defeated Washington 55-50 to wrap up a perfect 14-0 conference season. The Dragons enter the playoffs 19-3. Districts this Friday!





Big night for Dragon Athletics. Freshman Coty Session qualified for the Wrestling State Championships by defeating two highly ranked opponents. She will wrestle tomorrow in Noble @ approximately 5PM for the Regional Championship. What a season Coty!! Go Dragons!
