Our PHS Cheer Team enjoyed a successful camp last week. Love Leigh Guthmueller, Gracie Pruitt, Kate Ginn, Allison Pendley, Constance Uhl, and Ellie Reed were named All-Star Cheerleaders. Love Leigh and Constance were Top Gun finalists. The team brought home the Champion Cup and Dynamite Stick. Coaches Grant Gish and April Trumbo would like to thank all the parents and supporters for their great help!

We enjoyed welcoming Dragon alumni this past weekend and highlighting many of the improvements to our PHS Commons. A special thanks to Sherri Sheehy from Sheehy Signs and Char Page and District Designs for our new permanent banners showcasing our Dragon legends from the past. Thanks to Terry Howell and Tony Haley for their hard work hanging our new signs. Thanks as well to Rick Hammer, Sarah Jones, and Cara Simonton from our athletic department.

Senior Katy Keith recently completed the prestigious Youth Leadership of Oklahoma program. This program provides valuable leadership training to a select group of approximately 50 high school seniors across Oklahoma. Katy will lead PHS this year as STUCO President. Here is what Katy had to say about her experience:
"Youth leadership of Oklahoma was a great experience for me and I’m so very lucky and honored to have been a part of such a wonderful organization. I have now made lifelong friends and have learned things I will take with me for the rest of my life."

Class of 2027 Students and Parents: Mark your calendars! See you in July!

PHS Senior Jett Tyler was one of 4 students who fielded questions at the Oklahoma School Innovation Summit presented by OPSRC. The topic was "What Today's Student Need and Want From School." We applaud this effort to provide students a voice in their education. Great work Jett!

Learning and development doesn't stop during the summer. In fact the high school is a pretty busy place! A huge thanks to our coaches, teachers, and sponsors who work with our students throughout the summer months helping them grow as students, athletes, and people! #phsdragons
