What a great night on Thursday celebrating our seniors. Football boys played a down to the wire game with Pauls Valley. Congratulations to our football, cheer, band, and cross country seniors for all of their accomplishments. We are so proud of you. We also recognized our state runner up softball team, and Boston Knowles being the new CAREER RECORD HOLDER for career rushing yards. Go Dragons!

Dragon Esports Smash Teams in action yesterday! Dragon Smash (Selena, AJ, and Braeden) get the win over Keys! The team beat the cougars 3-0! Purcell Smash (Aidan, Aden, and Fatima) had a close game with Durant. In the end the team fell to the Lions 2-3. I want to thank Esports Coach Kelton Clary who has done an amazing job building this program over the past year. We are excited to see it's continued growth and increased opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities. Ketlon also teaches World History and AP World History and coaches tennis. Kelton is a also a proud dragon alum! #phsdragons

Purcell Aviation 2 students had the opportunity to attend the National Weather Festival in Norman. Students had the opportunity to see among other things, the role aviation plays in weather forecasting and public safety. Thank you Aviation 2 teacher Jack McNeely for providing our students this learning experience. #phsdragons

📣 Purcell High School TSA Shines at Fall Leadership Conference! Purcell High School’s TSA (Technology Student Association) recently attended the Fall Leadership Conference in Norman. Our students had an amazing opportunity to participate in STEM challenges, build leadership skills, and connect with fellow TSA members from around the region. Congratulations to senior Boston Knowles for this remarkable accomplishment! On Friday night against Heritage Hall, Senior Boston Knowles surpassed Gerald Green's career rushing mark of 4,341 yards, set in 1974. Boston currently sits at 4,466 yards. #phsdragons

Today, our Boys Cross Country team went and competed in the 4A State Cross Country Meet. Dragon runners were Jaydon Polk, Erick Suarez, Tripp Eck, Cameron Coulter, Elijah Walker, Ethan Berger, and Cesar Suarez. Jayden Polk finished 6th out of 145 racers. I am so proud of all the hard work our cross country kids and our coaches, Ray Samford and Josh Beal, have put in to this season. Go Dragons!

PHS Spanish Club delivered their donations to the Animal Shelter yesterday and took some time to visit some of our local pets in need of a good home. Thank you to our Spanish Club members and sponsor Mayra Munoz for supporting such an important organization in the community. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn the value of service to community. #phsdragons

The Dragons fell to #2 Heritage Hall last night 56-41 in an exciting back and forth game. We are extremely proud of our players, coaches, and managers. They did an amazing job. Basketball scrimmage season moves into full gear this weekend. PHS Boys under the leadership of Matt Lohn for his inaugural season, will be in action at the Young Family Athletic Center in Norman tomorrow. The PHS girls under third year coach Toney Cooper will scrimmage tomorrow at Oklahoma Baptist University. Both squads have been practicing hard in preparation. #phsdragons
