Congratulations to Coach Matt Lohn!! He was announced as the Oklahoma Coaches Association West Large School All State Coach. Coach Lohn will be coaching the All-State Game on July 30th. This game will be held at Tulsa Memorial High School at 8:30 pm. We are so proud of Coach Lohn and cannot wait to cheer him on at Memorial HS in July. Congratulations Coach Lohn.

The Heart of Oklahoma Baseball Tournament starts tomorrow. Dragons open up with Little Axe tomorrow at 5:30. Come out, enjoy the weather, and watch some baseball the next couple of days.

This National Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, we want to give a HUGE shoutout to two individuals who wear many hats at Purcell High School! 🙌 Assistant Principal Rick Hammer not only provides invaluable leadership but also serves as our District Athletic Director, manages building & maintenance, supervises electives & science, co-supervises discipline, manages all events, and chairs our Safety & Wellness JET Team. Dean of Students Aaron Dillard is also our Head Football Coach & Assistant Athletic Director, supervises the history department, technology & student devices, student services (including attendance), co-supervises discipline, leads our Behavior & Attendance JET Team AND assumed our Building Testing Coordinator role this year! Thank you both for your service to our school & community!

Did you know hands-on learning in the classroom is key for your kids' future jobs? At Purcell High, awesome teachers like our Science Department Chair, Jack McNeely, make learning real! This past week, his students experienced static electricity firsthand and even dissected dog sharks! ⚡️🔬 These projects build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills – exactly what today's workforce needs. Mr. McNeely knows how to teach important science while making it engaging and preparing our future scientists and medical heroes!
