We could not let the week pass without celebrating our Purcell Police Department for National Police Week 2023. They have supported our District in so many ways from safety to helping students and staff. We appreciate all that they do for our schools and community!!

PES 2022-2023 Perfect Attendance: Attendance is very important and we would like to recognize students who had Perfect Attendance since the beginning of school for the 4th 9wks. May 10, 2023 Dear Parents/Guardians, Purcell Public Schools is pleased to provide our students and community with a Summer Feeding Program again this year. This program is open to children ages 0-18 years of age. You do not have to be a Purcell PS student to take advantage of this program. Summer Feeding will begin on Tuesday, May 22nd and continue through July 28th. Meals this year must be consumed on site at Purcell Elementary through July and at Purcell High School through June 22nd except for those delivered to Southway Mobile Home Park. We will also provide an option for meal delivery at Southway Mobile Home Park located at 3 Elliot Drive Purcell, OK each Tuesday (May 23 & 30, June 6,13, 20, &27 and July 5 (Wednesday), 11, 18, & 25 from 10:30 am-11:30 am. Anyone is welcome to pick up meals, you do not have to be a resident of Southway. These meals will be packaged for five (5) days worth of breakfasts and lunches. ● Purcell Elementary Cafeteria- May 22nd-July 28th (M-F) Breakfast: 7:30 A.M.-9:30 A.M. Lunch: 11:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M. ● Purcell High School Cafeteria- May 22nd-June 22nd (M-F) Breakfast: 8:00 A.M.-9:30 A.M. Lunch: 11:00 A.M. -12:30 P.M. ● Southway Mobile Home Park (10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M.) 3 Elliot Drive Purcell, OK Each Tuesday Beginning on May 23rd-July 25th (Please note July 5th (Wednesday) as pick up day due to the Fourth of July Holiday) Students who are attending Summer School will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch at the schools and will not be eligible for meal pickup at Southway while Summer School is in session (June 5th- 22nd). I strongly encourage families to take advantage of the Summer Feeding Program. It is great for our students and community as a way to fight childhood hunger. It also benefits the schools. Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity!

Thank you Parents and some Grandparents for joining us for parent picnics today! It was a great way to end the year and celebrate together! As I was walking through the halls this afternoon I found this note. It says, " I will miss you on Summer Break." It spoke to my heart. May you all have a blessed Summer Break and enjoy some fun in the sun! We will miss you but will see you soon! Tomorrow is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL and will wrap up the 2022-2023 school year! We are going to finish out with a FREE hat day tomorrow to celebrate so join us and wear your favorite hat for FREE! Remember tomorrow is parent picnic for Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades! Pack a simple lunch for you and your child and have lunch together- kindergarten will be in classrooms and outside for 1st and 2nd grade, weather permitting. Such a fun time celebrating with our Freedom Fun Run Donation winners today! Most Corporate Donations - Pizza with the Principal - Cora Cheatwood, Sawyer Creswell, Markee Jacks, & Kenley Creswell. Most Personal Donations - Pizza with the Principal - Cooper Brown, Jace Taylor, Jett Crossland, & Granger Davis. The bus ride was the best part and then pizza with the Principal! It was a bonus to get driven in style by Mrs. Jackie! 🚌Thank you all for contributing to our schools! 🐲❤️🍕

We have been working hard in 2nd grade this year on reading books and taking tests in Reading Counts! These students have read and tested on many books! These students all earned 50 points; LuC Thatcher, Killian Cox, Langston Womack, Adaleena Garver, & Brooklyn Sabatino. We had 2 students; Eli Killman and LuC Thatcher earning 75 points and then LuC went on to read and earn 100 points each to earn a BRAG TAG! That's hard work! 💪🏼🎉 Way to go Dragons!! Our PTO did an amazing job managing this event and because of YOU, together with the Intermediate, last year we raised $9,714.94 and this year we raised $15,200.58!!
