Governor Stitt announced a change to quarantine guidelines for students and staff who have been exposed to COVID-19. These guidelines are not in agreement with current CDC guidance. PPS will continue to utilize the 7 day and 10 day quarantine protocols. We thank Governor Stitt for his efforts to help all Oklahoma students return to in person learning. Everyone is looking forward to the day that the pandemic can be put behind us.
Until that time, I cannot express enough thanks to our teachers, parents, staff and students. Your collective efforts have been what has allowed us to continue with in person instruction for as much of the year as we have. This has been our goal since the start of the pandemic. It is so important that we continue to follow the safety protocols by wearing masks, washing hands and socially distancing when possible. Doing these small things will make a big difference.
I appreciate your support of Purcell Public Schools. Stay safe!
