This year has been one like no other. We have had to depend on each other more than ever before. I want to thank our school board members, administrators, parents and students for the perseverance and resiliency that you have shown to make this year the best it can be. I am proud of the length of time we were able to have in person instruction for our students in the midst of a global pandemic, while keeping everyone safe. I am also grateful that we have been able to provide food for our students free of charge through every shift in schedule we experienced. However, my thoughts continue to go out to families that have been affected by this pandemic.
We are planning to return to in person instruction on January 5th to resume the remainder of our school year. I want to continue to encourage each of you to be safe and to continue to follow all necessary precautions to prevent the virus from spreading. Please adhere to using a mask, washing your hands, avoiding large groups, and social distancing. While we have the hope of a vaccine, it will take time for us to reach a sense of normalcy. So until that time, everyone please be mindful and let's do our part to keep each other healthy.
I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. I am excited to see students back in school on January 5th.
