Virtual Learning

Did you know that Purcell PS will have a full virtual and blended model of instruction available for students (PK-12) for the 2020-2021 school year?  Students who elect to attend one of the virtual options will be able to participate in athletics or other activities.  Please note that participation of some activities will require a student be on campus for some period of time.  If you are interested in this option, please complete the paperwork for P.A.V.E. (click for application) and return to your child's building principal by July 27th.  If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Sheli McAdoo mcadoos@purcellps.org  or your child's building principal.  We look forward to serving you in the 2020-2021 school year.

  • Traditional-  This is face to face instruction on campus that will be enriched with online instruction through Google Classroom and Odysseyware.  Teachers will guide instruction as usual.  The Personalized Learning Program at the High School fits into this category as well.  Students can participate in concurrent and career tech (if selected for enrollment). All students will be enrolled in this instructional delivery model unless parents request another learning program and complete the necessary forms.

  • Virtual-  Instruction is delivered via Google Classroom and Odysseyware (HS/JH) and Edgenuity (PK-5th).  Students will have access to a Purcell teacher(s) depending on the course for assistance and guidance.  Students will complete learning at home.  Students must meet assignment requirements on a daily basis to be considered present.  Students can participate in concurrent and career tech (if selected for enrollment).  A student must maintain this enrollment for a full semester.  Students will be allowed to participate in athletics, band and activities.  Parents must select this option, complete district forms, and visit with the school administrator.

  • Blended-  This is a combination of both in person instruction on campus and off campus instruction virtually.  A student could enroll in all core classes online and take electives on campus, such as band. Students would be required to enroll in this option for a full semester.  They may also participate in athletics, band and other activities. Parents must select this option, complete district forms and visit with the school administrator.  Students can participate in concurrent and career tech (if selected for enrollment).  Note: Students must provide their own transportation to participate in this option.
