Class of 2020

Below is a message that I wanted to share with you regarding a way to honor our fabulous Class of 2020.  Please direct any questions to cookk@purcellps.org

The Purcell class of 2020 has missed out on some pretty fun traditions due to COVID-19. One of their favorites is walking the elementary halls in their cap and gown. In order to try to make up this special moment, we will be celebrating on May 22nd with a graduation parade.

The seniors will meet in Ruby’s parking lot in their dragon gear at 6:45, and then depart via escort at 7pm, seniors feel free to decorate your cars for the community to see as you drive by. The route will go by each school, and field, and then end on Main Street at the caboose. We are thrilled to be able to give this opportunity to our seniors on the day they should have walked the stage, but we do still encourage everyone to please follow the CDC guidelines during this celebration, and practice social distancing

We encourage the community to come out in true Purcell Dragon style. Parents, friends, family, teachers, and fellow students please line the route, make signs of encouragement, decorate your business windows, let's make this a parade to remember. We hope to see the community, students, teachers, along the route the seniors will be driving by. Can’t wait to celebrate our 2020 Purcell Dragon Seniors!

The attached map includes the location the seniors will drive by looking for their favorite teacher, family members or friends. These locations are listed from start to finish, so we encourage you all to line the streets near each location.
