The Purcell Board of Education has announced a Special Board Meeting scheduled for April 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. to review and accept bids for the district’s bond projects. This meeting follows an update presented by CWA and Goldsby Construction to the Board on March 10, 2025, detailing the progress and revised costs of the planned construction.
Key highlights from the March 10th update include:
Junior High FEMA Gym Progress: The design phase of the Junior High FEMA Gym has reached 95% completion, triggering the bid process through Goldsby Construction. Bids will be accepted for four weeks, closing on April 16th.
Construction Timeline: Construction on the Junior High FEMA Gym is slated to begin in mid-May, with minimal disruption expected for students and teachers during the initial phase. Adjustments to the construction schedule will be made to accommodate student activities when school resumes in the fall.
